Hi, my name is Jessica Gibson, I'm a recovering bookaholic, down from four books a week to a more reasonable one. It was that love of words and creativity that made me dream about writing my first book. That dream was hidden for years, always put on the back burner, filed away in the "someday" section, until my husband Matt gave me the kick in the pants I needed to actually get off my butt and write.
My husband and I live in Southern California and have a serious addiction to reality tv shows like Pawn Stars and American Restoration. We have one son and hope to add to the family in the near future.
Aside from writing, I run an online event planning business called the Release Day Diva. In addition to novels, I write and maintain the blog Book on the Bright Side.

Olivia’s past choices come back to haunt her and could ruin everything she has worked so hard to build. Troy has the power to destroy any hope of happiness. International Bestselling, Award-Winning Author Mary Ting/M. Clarke resides in Southern California with her husband and two children. She enjoys oil painting and making jewelry. Writing her first novel, Crossroads Saga, happened by chance. It was a way to grieve the death of her beloved grandmother, and inspired by a dream she once had as a young girl. When she started reading new adult novels, she fell in love with the genre. It was the reason she had to write one-Something Great. Why the pen name, M Clarke? She tours with Magic Johnson Foundation to promote literacy and her children's chapter book-No Bullies Allowed.
Love can heal and love can make you soar, but Nate’s expression said my love had broken him. The thought of Nate not knowing how much I wanted him back shattered me. As his eyes filled with utter confusion, he waited for me to continue.
“Then why didn’t you ask me?” Nate scowled. “What changed your mind? Or should I say who changed your mind?” He didn’t wait for me to answer. Instead, he gripped his hair with his fists and walked away.
“It isn’t what you think.” I searched for the best words to explain.
I might have screwed up finding the right words. It was hard to concentrate with him standing there shirtless, water dripping slowly down his chest from his wet hair. God, he looked sexy as hell. He had no idea what he was doing to me. I wanted to lick every single drop. In my mind, my hands traveled all over his toned chest, wiping away the water like I was his towel.
Nate glared at me, unbelieving, as if he expected me to lie. Then he rushed to me and punched the wall with an expression of rage I’d never seen. His body so close to mine, almost touching, caused my focus to slip away.
“Don’t fuck with me, Olie,” he gritted through his teeth. “It isn’t what I think? I wasn’t given the chance to think.” He pointed to himself. “There wasn’t much to think when I saw Troy practically on top of you.”
I had known that moment would cause me problems. Nate’s expression eased when I began to tremble. His anger and how he’d reacted seemed to surprise him, too. I found my composure again and continued before he had another episode that was so out of character. There was no going back.
“I couldn’t tell you because of Troy. Not because I wanted to be with him, but because I was scared of him.”
“What?” His eyebrows pinched at the center, and his pitch rose again. “What do you mean you were afraid of him? Did he threaten you? Did he hurt you?”
When I nodded through unrelenting tears, Nate guided me to the bed with his hand on my back. I wiped my cheeks and sat next to him. His proximity drove me insane, especially when my hand accidently grazed his chest.
“Tell me everything.” he said softly, but it was more of a demand. I could tell his anger had turned toward Troy and away from me.

About Tessa Bailey:
Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.
Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.
She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

Lauren took a drink and turned to Colt. “Let’s dance!”
Jumping up, she pulled him out to the dance floor as I
chuckled and continued my people watching.
The song changed from a fast song to a slower one. Oh, it’s
Dan and Shay. I love that group. Scanning the dance floor, my eyes came to a
halt.
“Jase,” I whispered as I watched him dancing with some girl.
All of sudden the lyrics to the song played loudly in my ears.
He wasn’t talking at all to her, but he held her close to
him. “Bastard,” I said out loud as the guy standing next to me at the bar
looked at me shocked.
“Oh shit, did I cut in front of you?”
Pulling my eyes off of Jase and the girl, I took in the
sight in front of me.
Cowboy. Tight jeans, nice body, boots, and a smile that
would knock any girl off her feet. Any girl … but me.
“Nope, sorry that wasn’t directed at you. The guy who asked
me to dance is dancing with someone else.”
I pouted as he smiled bigger. Good lord … when did I learn
how to flirt?
Reaching his hand out for mine, he winked and said, “His
mistake just became my gain.”
With a flirty grin, I set my drink down and placed my hand
in his and let him lead me to the dance floor. The last place Jase would ever
expect me to be is a bar in Llano. I had to admit when Lauren mentioned this
place, my heart began to race at the idea of maybe seeing Jase. I just hadn’t
planned on seeing him with another girl.
Lucking out, the next song was another slow one. Spinning me
around, the guy pulled me closer and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Taylor. Yours?”
“Brad.”
Oh yuck. Why did he have to have the same name as my dad?
Crap.
“Nice to meet you … um … Brad.”
“Pleasure is all mine, Taylor. I can promise you that.”
Ugh. Men.
He pulled me closer and I was praying to God this guy had
something in his pocket and it wasn’t what I thought it was poking my stomach.
Blah.
For a few seconds I totally forgot why I had agreed to dance
with him. I quickly looked around until I spotted Jase. He looked miserable and
somehow that comforted me.

Nate:
It’s nearly impossible to be surrounded by love but not understand it. My parents, my sister, and just about everyone around us has no trouble accepting that love. To give your trust to someone else and believe they would die before hurting you. I’ve witnessed it—I’ve seen the power of it—but I’ve also seen the pain. Because for me, I’ve only loved someone I could never have, and my biggest fear is that by giving her my love, all I would do is ruin her. I should have tried harder, but I’m not sure I can because I only feel complete when I’m with her.
Emberlyn:
The only time I feel like I belong is when he’s near. His infectious smile warms me straight to my bones. Any insecurities I have vanish with just a wink from him. A sliver of his attention makes me feel invincible. But all it took was one drunken night of truths for me to lose everything I had begun to crave. Now, I’m not sure how to move on because I only feel complete when I’m with him.
He said I was too young. I said he was perfect. He said our families wouldn’t understand. I said we could weather any storm. He said he would ruin me. And he was right.
