Picking up the pieces to a broken life can be long and bumpy. Most often than not things get worse before they get better.

Convinced she's going to finally get her happily ever after fate steps in once again and she suffers betrayal and shame at the greatest degree.

Will she give the idea of love a second chance and find her one and only or will her dark secrets prevent her from truly finding herself?

____________________________________________________________

Behind every prince is a story left untold.
Look behind the mask and you'll see it unfold…

Sawyer has lived a charmed life. He's the catch every girl is after when dreaming of her very own storybook ending. In real life, though, nothing is like it is in a fairytale. One childhood event can forever affect how a man looks at love and relationships, even a golden guy like Sawyer.

Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. Isn't that what everyone has always taught in history class? He doesn't have time for love or commitment.
Even the most skeptical with love can sometimes find it in the strangest of places, when that one special someone catches his eye, suddenly leaving him dazed and confused.

The only way to reap the benefits of true love is to put your own demons behind and give love a shot…

When secrets start to arise will the two beat the odds or part ways and let it destroy them both?
I stare in the mirror as I admire the new lingerie I have to wear tonight. The club gives us an allowance on uniform every month, because it's a top end club. There are no lower class sleezeballs here. This is where the big dogs come out and play. This is the most private club in town. If you knew who some of our highest paying customers were you would know why. I have a birthday party that's reserved the front table of the stage tonight, a group of 10 men, all drunk off of their asses. I can tell a few of them are newbies by their drooling, excited demeanor.
This is what makes my job interesting and fun: breaking them in. A man gets a good first time and they'll be coming back for more, meaning more cash for me. I place my tall heel into the seat of my chair and rub baby oil down my leg, giving me a sexy edge. Plus, it keeps the hands from going past the point of restriction.
I finish the other leg and take one final look in the mirror. It's a sexy version of a clown; a white babydoll trimmed in all of the bright colors; the birthday hat and the sexy makeup top if off. My ruffle front thong in orange is the final dessert of the hour.
I paint my lips with a matching cherry red lipstick like my name and smack them in the mirror. "Cherry, you're up in ten. Don't keep them waiting. This is my biggest payout of the night."
I roll my eyes in the mirror at the sound of Roger's voice as he pokes his head inside the door. Show the man green and he'd lease us out in private hotels I'm sure. He would never admit that though. "I'll be right out, Roger." He likes me though, because something about my pretty face keeps his pockets full.
I've already been up on stage a few times tonight, so for now I'm circulating the room. A man with a smirk approaches me and gives me a wad of cash, a hefty tip to take the birthday boy to the VIP room for a private lap dance. This guy has some nice friends. A private lap dance is easily a grand and paid up front to Roger. It is explained that's before the tip.
I head to the VIP room to get ready for my dance, greeting Gerry at the door. All private rooms have a bouncer keeping guard to ensure that the women are safe at all times. As I'm getting my music queued up, I hum softly under my breath and wait for my client to arrive. I don't have to wait long when there is a knock at the door.
Greeting me on the other side of the door is an incredibly sexy man. Something about his face looks familiar, but I can't place it. He has dark hair, intense green eyes, and is physically fit by the defined muscle protruding from his fitted shirt. He must have come here right after work, because he is wearing a suit, but he's removed his jacket and tie and rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt, revealing tattoos running up his arms.
I don't know what it is about a man with rolled up sleeves and tattoos, but it turns me on in a way I don't understand. Maybe it's the business meets bad boy persona. Whatever it is has me motivated to get closer to him, making my job easier.
I approach him at the door. "Hi, I'm Cherry."
He studies me for a moment with heated eyes. The way he looks at me is as if he's seen me before, like he knows me. "Hi, Cherry." My name rolls off his tongue in the most sexual manner, causing a rush of excitement between my legs. This is going to be fun: sexy and seductive.
The music starts to play and I place one hand in the center of my sexy stranger's chest, grabbing a fistful of black material. I drag him over to the seating area and turn, pushing him backwards until he falls onto the couch behind him, chuckling. "Damn," he says, egging me on.
I place each hand on the back of the couch to each side of his shoulders and flip my hair from side to side. It starts the full body roll that follows, pressing each segment of skin to his clothing. I stand and turn, closing in on him. I shake my ass against his crotch, hardening beneath me. While cupping my breasts I roll my head back, grinding to the beat of the music. Turning my head to the side, I watch his eyes glaze over as I touch my body, skimming my hands down in a slow motion. I continue gyrating on his lap, listening to his breathing pick up, confirming the arousal that is pressing into the crack of my ass. I breathe in deeply…smelling his citrusy aftershave; something I would say is unique to him.
I get lost in the music and this sexy man pressed against my backside, as I allow him to become familiar with my body. Time stands still…for a while. I hear him grunt, praising me for the havoc I'm causing on his cock, and he isn't even naked. I finish out the dance as the song comes to an end. He stands and I watch as he fishes in his pockets. He pulls out a wad of cash, handing it all to me. I stand here and stare at him in shock. I brush it off and reach for it, but he doesn't immediately turn it loose. "How much for house calls?"
I'm about to say something, anything to deny his question, but he beats me to the punch. "Listen, I don't usually come to places like this, but I'm here, and now that I am I kind of like it. You have a beautiful body. Let me show you what I can do with mine," he finishes quietly.
What a generous man, but I can tell he enjoyed the dance from the large bulge at the front of his pants, so I know what he's referring to. "I don't think so, sweetie."
I'm ready to thank him and leave when he grabs my hand, pulling me to him. He presses his lips to mine before I even know what's happening. I can taste the whiskey on his breath. Poor guy is so drunk I don't think he knows what he's asking me, but the way his hands introduce themselves to my backside I can't be sure. He pulls away and touches his index finger to my lips, silencing me. "Think about it. The club closes at two. I'll be outside waiting if you decide to take me up on my offer. Sometimes outside of the norm can be freeing…"
He turns and walks away, leaving me standing here alone. I'm not sure what the hell just happened, but I find myself considering it. I never do this. There's one reason why…."

tag17Phoenix has been stumbling through life since her brother Adric's tragic death but after eight years, she is finally piecing what remains together. She has a nice apartment, a steady job and not to mention a fresh new 'relationship' with her childhood friend, Kade Haze. He's the sexy boy next door she never even dreamed of falling for, but can’t seem to stop the pull she feels toward him. Just when life began to make sense again and a feeling of normalcy was on the horizon, Phoenix's carefully constructed walls come crashing down. When walking into the tattoo shop one day, the last thing she’s expecting to see is Kellan Haze, Adric’s best friend no one has seen or heard from since the day they found her brother’s body. He’s nothing as she remembers him as a child, with his wild messy hair, tattoos that cover most of his undeniably sexy body and eyes so intense it makes her legs quiver with one look. The one thing even she can’t deny is the instant rush she feels just by being in his presence. But how can you choose between love and lust when one of these hold a dark secret, one that can crush your world to pieces and leave you gasping for air. Who can you trust when your mind is pulling you in two different directions and your heart has to choose for you? The Haze brothers are sexy, daring and possibly . . . dangerous.
This Regret is a story of love, lust, betrayal and danger with an ending that no one saw coming.

The blast of a .38-caliber revolver sends me crashing to my knees, landing in the road, with gravel digging deep into the flesh of my knees. My hands grip the gritty ground, as if my life depends on it, making my fingers bleed. Who knows, at this point, maybe it does. Even with my eyes closed, I can feel the world spinning around me, my body threatening to give up and lose what control I have left. Tears stream down my horror-stricken face and a silent scream is threatening to form in my throat. It hurts. It hurts like hell. That’s when I hear it. A bloodcurdling scream that makes my blood run cold. Except, it’s not my screaming that is roaring through my ears as I expected. It’s the screaming of a woman. A very angry, hysterical woman. The only thing I can decipher is, “Call 911. Somebody fucking call 911. There’s blood everywhere.” I can hear bodies shuffling nearby, some of them even tripping over me to get away, but I can only process one thought. He’s gone. Please don’t let him be gone. With force, I am yanked to my feet, a large hand smacking me across the face, causing blood to taste on my tongue. I try to focus, but my vision is too blurred to make any sense of who has control of my body and at this point, I’m not so sure it even matters.

“This is your fault,” the deep voice growls as I spit blood onto his filthy boots. Narrowing his eyes, he wraps my hair securely around his hand and yanks my head back, hard, while his other hand tightens around my throat, squeezing.
“You’re going to pay for this if it’s the last thing I do, you stupid bitch.”
He lets go of my neck and shoves me down to the ground so my face is pressed into the gravel, his boot crushing into the back of my skull. Dirt and rocks dig into my left eye, making it even harder to see through the tears. I desperately look for the man that hasn’t only crushed then stolen my heart just to crush it again, but has also replaced a part of me that I thought was long ago lost. Realizing that my search is pointless, I just lay there defeated, feeling half-alive, but mostly dead.

“Go ahead,” I whisper. “See if you can hurt me anymore than you already have. I dare you.” My body’s trembling, but I look him dead in the eye anyways. I’m not scared of dying. Not after losing the biggest part of me, my heart.
“Losing him will be my last regret.” I shift so that I’m looking at the deep scars that cover his face. They make me sick. He makes me sick.
“That and not killing you when I had the chance.”

"You ready to fall in love with me? Because I can't stand the thought of you loving anyone else."--Kellan

 photo Thisregret_zpsec31008e.jpg

I have to say that every book I've read by Victoria I have absolutely loved! I read this book after Slade and it was phenomenal, it had my emotions going left and right. And who doesn't like a tatted up, sexy male love interest? Cause I loved Kellan. I could tell that this book was going to be emotional from the beginning, these characters went through hell just trying to survive a loved one's death, and that's always hard. Especially hard for me to read about.

I really enjoyed Kellan and Phoenix getting to know each other in 'their adulthood' we'll call it, because they knew each other years before. I think the love between them blossomed nicely and there are certain scenes that stay in my mind cause they're just so cute. Kade and Kellan are so hot, I adore love triangles because I usually don't know who to pick even though the story is going a certain way, I still have my hopes til the end. On the cover it says Adi's Addic, oh my heart. Adi was Phoenix's brother and Kellan's best friend so he named his tattoo shop after him. It all tied together well. The plot, the characters, the names, the writing, everything was just spectacular.

I think that Victoria did an amazing job with this book, it's definitely a favorite of mine. She just keeps getting better and better. I think that if you haven't read this one, go get it! I could go on & on about it and still not do it justice, it's that good. I loved it, you need it in your life, go get it, you'll thank me later!

Excerpt Reveal- Lies Unspoken by Lisa DeLong

Lies Unspoken (Flawed Love, #1)

Lies Unspoken by Lisa DeLong
Series: Flawed Love #1

RELEASE DATE: December 14th, 2014

I tried hard not to fall for the bad guy.

My new roommate, Blake, is a jerk—an unemployed artist with a chip on his shoulder. I can’t stand him unless his hands are on me. He makes me desperate for him, and everything he makes me feel.

And then there’s my new boss, Pierce--successful, charming, and extremely good-looking. He goes after what he wants, but what does he see in me?

I try to stay away, but I end up in the arms of exactly who I was hiding from. And when I find out what’s being hidden from me, my heart twists in ways it never should.

I thought I knew him.
I didn't.
The way he kissed me.
The way his hands traveled every inch of my skin.
I thought it meant something, but as it turns out, it was all lies unspoken.

When the rustling continues, I throw my covers off and roll out of bed. My bare feet pad against the cool hardwood floors as I make my way into the living room. Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I focus in on a shirtless Blake standing in front of the stove with his strong back to me. His body is sculpted. Wide shoulders. Waist tapering in at just the right angle … there’s probably not a pinch of fat on the guy.
I quietly walk up behind him, tapping my finger on his shoulder. “We need to talk.”
He spins around, his arm brushing against mine. His hair is mussed—a look he wears well … too well, as much as I hate to admit it.
“I only made enough eggs for me.” He smirks, and two stupid dimples form. He’s cute—stupidly so.
“I’m a cereal kind of girl,” I say, crossing my arms.
His smile widens. “Fruit Loops or Captain Crunch? I’m guessing you like the ones with the cute little cartoon characters on the front of the box.”
“Wheaties. I prefer to stare at a sexy athlete while eating my breakfast.” I stop, moving my hands to my hips. “Look, can we make a rule? No loud noises until at least nine. Some of us need our beauty sleep.”
His brow lifts. “Now that you mention it, your eyes are a little dark and puffy. It’s nothing a little make-up won’t fix.”
“You’re an asshole!”
He laughs, nibbling on a piece of egg at the end of his spatula. “That’s nothing I haven’t heard before.”
“Are you done? Because I’d really like to crawl back into my nice warm bed.”
He looks back to the stove. “Yep, breakfast is served.”
“Good. I’m going back to bed.”
I start to walk away, but his voice stops me. “Hey, Lila?” He says my name with extra emphasis on the second syllable—in a way I haven’t heard it before. I turn around, taking in his dark, hooded eyes. “If you’re going to walk around looking like that every morning, I might be okay with this roommate thing.”
Looking down, I’m suddenly reminded that all I have on is a sleep shirt that reads: “I don’t hate morning people. Mornings have nothing to do with it.” It barely covers my ass, and the wide neck falls off my shoulder. It’s certainly not something I’d want to be caught in by him.
“Definitely an asshole,” I groan as I hurry to my room and slam the door shut behind me.

I traded my death for love. I wasn’t given a choice. His decision has caught up with us, so now I am a living, breathing catalyst to war between Heaven and Hell.

The violations he committed saved my life. Since the collision, he’s appeared everywhere. In my hospital room, my school, even my house. He shows up in my paintings, my drawings, in all of my art projects. I can’t stop thinking about him.

He says his name is Gabriel, and he doesn’t understand what’s happening to him. He doesn’t know how I can see him or why he wants me in ways that should be impossible for a Celestial.

My obsession grows. I need him to hold me, kiss me—give all of himself. For every day he protects me, the consequences loom darker and taller. Soon, they’ll crash down on us.

The war is about to begin.

I really loved this book not only because of the story but because it got me out of a paranormal funk. For about 10 months I haven't been able to read anything paranormal except about angels and it's only been like 2 books, so this book showed me that I can read this genre again and it makes me so excited.

The story definitely caught my eye in the beginning and kept my attention the entire time. I liked what I was reading and wanted to know more about the world. I liked how the story wasn't complicated because sometimes there's so much going on that you can't remember half of it and I'm happy to say that this one was easy to keep up with.

I loved the characters, Cassiel, Gabriel's brother was absolutely hilarious, I loved him he was my favorite character. He was a bad boy and charmed women's pants off but he was beautiful so we'll forgive him, lol. He was a fallen angel which meant that he wasn't in heaven and that he did naughty things. Some parts where in his POV and I thought that was cool. He was so entertaining and funny.

Cassiel:
"Okay, you're beaming at her. Will you snap out of it?"
"Hey thanks for turning me into a goddamn commentator here. You caught that she's seeing you, right?"
"Have fun with the cleanup! Oh, and by the way: you're plunging us face first into some hilarious times. Thanks, bro."

That was at the scene of the car accident where Gaia was the only survivor because Gabriel saved her from dying. He couldn't let her die. Angels were meant to protect so humans couldn't see them but somehow she could see him everywhere she went after that day. A decision that Cassiel did not agree with at all, he liked his life; doing whatever he wanted without drawing attention to himself from anyone above. So he knew that Gabriel's decision was going to be an epic fail and threaten everything he's worked for. That was just one of the hilarious scenes that I loved.

I really loved the dynamic in this book, nothing seemed forced, everything just blended together. One thing that got me thinking that wasn't necessary was Cassiel kept on flirting and using his powers on his brother's girl. That's not cool if he weren't playing around about it. It wasn't really serious but I don't think it did anything to better the story. Gaia, that poor girl didn't know what was happening to her when he would put his charm on her, but she figured it out lol. She was also a good character, she didn't stand out to me because I was so stuck on Cassiel lol. Overall I'm glad I read this book because it got me out of my funk and I was able to really enjoy it. So I'm not a lost cause after all lol. I'm looking forward to the next book which already came out. I recommend this series to any NA/Paranormal/Fantasy lover.
