Interview With Rachel M. Raithby Author OF Lexia The Deadwood Hunter Series

  Published: July 23, 2013

    Book Description

Lexia thought she was normal, ordinary...

Lincoln thought he'd spend the rest of his life seeking revenge...

What would you do if the person you loved was your enemy?

When Lexia snuck out one night to go to a party, she hardly expected to be attacked by vampires. Much less be able to kill them with her bare hands.

That night triggers events Lexia can't escape and soon she struggles to keep up a facade around her friends and family.

And then there's Lincoln; she finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But Lexia senses he wants something more dangerous than a simple romance.

Lincoln has secrets and what she learns changes her life forever.

A story of love, loss and betrayal.

Only one thing is certain, Lexia and Lincoln’s lives will never be the same again.

How many books are there going to be in the Deadwood Hunter Series?
There will be 3 books in The Deadwood Hunter Series; the second is due out Dec13/Jan14. I also have a few ideas for spin off novels from the series with some of the other characters.

What are some of your ideas for the upcoming books?
The next Deadwood Hunter book will focus on Lexia’s darker side and her struggle as she deals with everything that has happened to her so far, you’ll meet new characters and people from Lincoln’s past, you will also learn more about Lincoln’s parents. You will be seeing more of Lexia’s ‘delightful’ mother and probably be wishing you could just jump into the book and strangle her yourself!

I also have a YA novel plotted and in writing right now, this is set in a completely new world full of magic, the story follows Analea; a Seer, her brother Ajax and Rhys a Dragon Warrior, there will be lots of mystery and action in this book too.

Are you planning on including other supernatural beings in the upcoming books?
There will be more shifters, wolf and feline and of course more hunters, some good, some bad! There may also be a few vampires in need of decapitating.

What kinds of books do you read?
I read a lot of paranormal books and fantasy, I’ve also started to read contemporary romance and new adult and I always love a bit of erotic romance. My favourite books are the Harry Potter Books, Twilight books, Psy-changling books, I liked Slave to sensation and kiss of snow best J

Thanks for having me and I’m so pleased you liked Lexia, can’t wait to hear what you think of the others in the series!

Thanks so much Rachel I can't wait for your upcoming books.
