Thanks for having me here Parajunkee!
I'm so happy to be featured, it’s so exciting!!

When did you start blogging?
I started blogging April, 2012 and it opened my eyes to a world I didn’t know existed. I wish I would have started earlier.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?
I love talking about books, meeting fellow book lovers, and finding new books through bloggers. I love how we all share the same love of books and the book community is so friendly, communicating and recommending books.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I started blogging about YA, but now that I’ve done this for awhile I decided to branch out about six months ago and I’m also liking NA, Contemporary Romance. But I think my main focus now is anything with a good romance in it.

What is your favorite book(s)?
So many… The Mortal Instruments Series By Cassandra Clare
The Existence Series (YA), The Sea Breeze Series (NA) By Abbi Glines
The Lux Series By Jenny L. Armentrout (Anything by her.)
The Seaside Series By Rachel Van Dyken (Anything by her.)
The Runes Series By Ednah Walters (I’ve read her NA series as well & they’re awesome.)
And so many more.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
Many things… though recently I got to speak to one of my favorite authors and I was so excited. She was really awesome! She always takes the time to talk to her fans. I just love talking about books and putting the word out there about great new books.

This weeks Question:

How have your reading habits changed in the past few years? Did you get interested in a new genre? Do you read more? Less? Why do you think your habits changed, if they did.

I used to only read YA not that long ago, I haven’t only been doing this for a short time. So a few months ago I started reading more Contemporary Romance and NA. It’s simpler, no world building, no confusing names, and no supernatural anything. I didn’t think I would like simple, but I do.

I used to read on my couch, it’s so comfy. Now I read in my room, outside in my back porch by the pool, on our boat while my husband is barbecuing.

I also read a lot more now than before, about a book a day and sometimes more than 30 books a month. Usually 20 something but still that’s a lot compared to before. I also read more eBooks now, I used to just like physical copies. Almost every book I read now are on my Kindles.

I think my habits changed because I had more time in my hands, so I was able to read more. I started to read NA because as I finished reading the third book in the Existence Trilogy Ceaseless, there was an excerpt of While It Lasts also by Abbi Glines and I was blown away. I loved the excerpt and immediately bought it, and then I bought the entire series, and then I was obsessed with NA, and that was where my love for Romance came in, like a domino effect but instead of falling one thing led to another and things kept getting better for me.

  1. NA is a newer genre for me too. I have a ton, and they are so easy to read. I should start reading more of them. I agree about not getting confused about names and dealing with the world building. Congrats on being featured!

NA is new for me, too. I've only read a handful of books, some amazing (Colleen Hoover), some not-so-great. :)

    1. I'm glad a lot more people are starting to like NA, I thought I was late on the bandwagon. But some people still prefer paranormal or dystopian. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. I couldn't agree more when you say you wish you could have started blogging earlier. I feel exactly the same, though I'm quite a new blogger still.

  7. YAY for being featured! Congrats!

It's funny, I started out reading YA, then left it behind because there weren't any paranormal titles--when I was a teen. Then I was reading only adult paranormals. Then when Paranormal YA was born I find myself reading more and more YA yet still reading adult too!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

  9. Congrats on your feature! I'm a little jealous that you get to read on a boat. I grew up on a lake community but now I live in an area where no one really does that. I miss living near the water.

    Happy FF! New GFC follower.

    1. The last paranormal book I read was Hush Hush and it was pretty good. I think it was last month. But that was the only one for like 6 months. I don't even remember which one was before that. Cause I mostly read NA now. I gotta get back into it :)

I had been reading NA for a while, but I'm reading it more often than I used to. Maybe because I can relate to it more, or something. Who knows.
Actually, I think most of the NA books I've been reading have been Contemporary titles too.

  21. Congrats on being featured! It was last year that I discovered NA and I got hooked as well. And I think this genre really has grown in the past year both in terms of readers as well as in terms of the sheer number of books that are coming out. Who are your favorite NA authors? I love books by Cora Carmack and Cheryl McIntyre :)

I also started reading NA when I was having a marathon read of Abbi Glines' books. I also started reading more on ebooks than the physical ones but I enjoy collecting the physical books when I really like them. Although I hate ebooks that is actually the same price of an actual physical book.
