When Val Jensen gets dumped for her decision to stay a virgin until marriage, the nasty breakup goes viral on YouTube, making her the latest internet sensation.

After days of ridicule from her peers, Val starts a school-wide campaign to rally support for her cause. She meant to make a statement, but she never dreamed the entire nation would get caught up in the controversy.

As if becoming nationally recognized as “Virgin Val” isn’t enough, Val’s already hectic life starts to spin wildly out of control when bad boy Kyle Hamilton, lead singer for the hit rock band Tralse, decides to take her abstinence as a personal challenge.

How can a girl stay true to herself when this year’s Sexiest Man Alive is doing everything in his power to win her over?

Here's my interview with Kyle Hamilton

Itara: Hey Kyle! Thanks for stopping by My Midnight Fantasies.

Kyle: I thought I was just stopping by your blog, but it’s good to know I’m starring in your fantasies too.

Itara: *gasps* No! I don’t—I mean my blog’s name is My Midnight Fantasies! I meant thank you for stopping by my blog. *blushes fiercely*

Kyle: *grins wickedly and winks* Either way, I’m happy to be here.

Itara: Thanks. *clears throat* So, um, I just want to say that I’m a huge fan. I love Tralse! Your latest album, S is for Sex is amazing!

Kyle: Thank you. I worked very hard on it. It’s kind of special to me, you know.

Itara: Oh, I know.  Your feud with Virgin Val is legendary. You two are so perfect for each other.

Kyle: That’s what I keep telling her!

Itara: So we all know who was the inspiration behind your song “Cryin’ Shame” but can you tell us who some of your greatest musical influences are?

Kyle: Oh, wow, there are so many it would be impossible to name them all. I love a lot of the greats—The Beatles, U2, Johnny Cash… I have very eclectic taste when it comes to music. I love whatever inspires me. If there was one band that has really influenced my own sound, though, it would be the indie rock band Head Automatica. Those guys rock! I’ve even dubbed one of the songs off of their Decadence album as Val’s and my song. (Aside from Cryin’ Shame, of course.) It’s called Beating Heart’s Baby, and it’s perfect for us. I sang a cover of it for her on her birthday.

Itara: That’s so romantic!

Kyle: I thought so. Val said she wasn’t impressed, but I know she was swooning on the inside.

Itara: So, any big plans for Valentine’s Day?

Kyle: I’m thinking about crashing Val’s big date with her tool of a boyfriend. Cara told me they have reservations at this great Italian place in San Diego. I love Italian food! I’m thinking I’m going to order a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs and see if I can get Val to Lady and the Tramp it with me. She can’t really say no if there’s a bunch of paparazzi filming us, right? Which, I have a feeling there might be some hanging around the restaurant because I may have accidentally let something slip about my V-Day plans on Twitter…

Itara: That sounds…um…funny and all, but…I’m not sure ruining Val’s Valentine’s Day plans is going to help you win her over.

Kyle: *snorts* Val likes to act all self-righteous and pretend that she doesn’t like me, but she secretly loves the attention. I’m not worried. I’ll win her over eventually. Besides, she can’t give in to me too soon. The chase is half the fun of it.

Itara: Nice. Well good luck with that. How about one last question before you head off to San Diego to sabotage Virgin Val’s Valentines Date?

Kyle: Shoot.

Itara: Why should we vote you King of the Book Boyfriends?

Kyle: Have I mentioned that I’m a brilliant, sensitive, world-famous rock star? And that I was recently given the title Sexiest Man Alive?

Itara: *blushes again unable to help checking out the outline of muscles beneath Kyle’s t-shirt* I saw the article.

Kyle: Well, if that photo shoot wasn’t enough to convince you, then all you have to do is check out my competition. Have you seen those guys? Tools. Though that weird one’s redheaded girlfriend is pretty damn hot. I’ve got to give him props for that. My girl’s the sexiest though.

Itara: Your girl? Do you mean Val? I thought she had a boyfriend?

Kyle: Not for long. I’ve got big plans for Virgin Val. Crown me king and I’ll share them with you.

Itara: Well you’ve certainly got my vote! Best of luck in the competition, Kyle! And best of luck with Val, too!
